We went back
to try and find the spot on Ward
Lake Road that we didn’t find
last week because of the fog. It
was beautiful –
Spring Beauty and
Dutchman’s-breeches as far
as the eye could see with some
Wood Anemone thrown in. The
day was beautiful, the new
green leaves are so fresh and
the red buds on the Red Maple
are at their prime. We went back
to the Caribou Trail and
continued north. After we left
the paved area we came to a spot
that had so many big beautiful
Bloodroot. We had not been
to this spot before so it was a
nice surprise. The cheerful
Marsh Marigolds are showing
their faces.
Lunch at Two
Island Campground – home at
4:00. It’s not hard to spend 5 ½
hours enjoying such a beautiful
day in such a wonderful place.
