(NOAA) weather radios.

the photo below). The EWR850 Weather Radio automatically gets your

flashing red light. You can monitor the Emergency Alert System and local
weather broadcasts 24 hours a day.

(BWCA.cc) partnered earlier to install a weather
station and a lightning
detection system for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness of
Northern Minnesota. NOAA transmitters are being planned by
area officials for installation near Gunflint and Bogus Lakes in Cook
County, Minnesota and should be operational this fall. Funding for
these transmitters comes from the county and the Federal Emergency
Management Agency (FEMA). |
