The
Friends is in the process of inventorying the
Superior
National Forest
for unprotected wildlands.
We need your help to identify areas that require our immediate
protection. Our inventory
will “ground truth” boundaries of current roadless
areas, document any human impact, and assess general wilderness
qualities and ecological conditions.
This
is a great opportunity to get out, enjoy
Minnesota
’s fall colors,
and develop an attachment to a special area of the
Superior
National Forest
.
The Friends will provide the necessary maps and training.
A training session will be held on Tuesday, October 16 from
7:00-9:00 p.m.
at the Friends
office. Inventories will
begin Saturday, October 20.
