MINNESOTA OHV LEGISLATION ON HOLD UNTIL NEXT
SESSION
(courtesy of Friends of the BWCA, April 11, 2001)
Minnesotašs off-highway vehicle legislation (HF1551/SF1381) has been
officially "laid over" until the next legislative session in
2002 by its principle author in the Senate. Both House and Senate
authors have expressed intentions to convene hearings and/or on-site
inspections over the summer months around the state. The OHV
legislation is very much alive! Senator Hottinger and Representative
Tuma have both committed to securing early committee hearings for this
bill next session.
Thanks to our members who wrote their representatives in support of OHV
regulation. Here's what you can do now:
1) Contact the billšs sponsors. Thank them for their support this
session and encourage them to continue to support our bill.
