Come
be a guest of Voyageur Canoe Outfitters at the end
of the legendary Gunflint Trail. Located 56 miles
from the nearest town Voyageur is a wilderness
destination. Cell phones do not work at Voyageur and
the accommodations allow you to get away from it
all. Voyageur is surrounded by the Superior National
Forest and is just a stone’s throw from the Boundary
Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The recreation
opportunities are endless with activities centered
around the BWCAW. Guests enjoy paddling, exploring
and fishing by kayak, canoe or boat and motor on
Saganaga Lake. Saganaga is the home of the state
record walleye as well as many lake trout, northern
pike and smallmouth bass.
There
are a variety of accommodations to choose from at
Voyageur. Guests that only need a step up from
camping can stay in a bunkhouse
but if a rustic cabin is preferred then the Black
Bear Cabin may be better. The lodge units are like
mini-cabins and Riverside and Water’s Edge are
private and perfect for larger groups. Wherever you
choose to stay you will enjoy the hospitality and
wilderness setting Voyageur provides. |
