
Crane
Lake is a 3,088 acre, 80 foot deep lake, which is
home to walleye, bass, crappie, trout, sturgeon,
northern, sauger, whitefish, bluegill, and perch.
Crane is
bordered by the Voyageurs National Park and via Sand
Point and Little Vermilion Lakes, the Boundary
Waters Canoe Area (BWCA). Also bordering is
Ontario's Lac La Croix and the
Quetico Provincial Park.
In the winter,
Crane Lake is popular for
cross country skiing,
snowshoeing,
and known around the world for its
snowmobiling.
