Comments: Weíre wrapping up the ski season on the Central Gunflint Trail System. While itís true that we still have a great deal of snow (with more in the forecast), grooming conditions have become quite difficult. Due to the daily freeze /thaw cycles that we experience now, the skiing may actually be better on ungroomed sections. Itís adventure skiing now!

Total snowfall this season:  93.75"  (67.59" 2013, 65.95" 2012, 87.95" 2011, 42.9" 2010)

Fresh Snow:  0" in last 24 hours, 0" in last 7 days Base:  24" Woods:  36"

Comments:  Skiing at George Washington Pines is fantastic right now! The base is plenty thick but has finally hardened up nicely and is providing for some very fast skiing! If snowshoers keep to the left of the set track we should continue to have excellent skiing until the next significant snowfall.

The trail runs through the George Washington Memorial Pine Plantation and along Elbow Creek. Parking available at Gunflint Trail.
