Ruffed Grouse Hunting

Minnesota provides the best Ruffed Grouse hunting in the United States.  Hunting is allowed in the Boundary Waters.  As with canoeing, permits are required in the BWCA.  The challenge as well, for ruffed grouse
hunting, is the fact that motors, wheeled transportation devices, and
machinery is not allowed in the BWCA.  This makes a challenge for keeping the meat cool enough to stay fresh.  Hunting in the BWCA is not recommended except for experienced hunters with with past Boundary Waters experience.
